Move Tool
Shortcut: V
The "Move Tool" is used to move the position of your photos

Rectangular Marque Tool
Shortcut: M
The "Rectangular Marquee Tool" is used to select an area in the shape of a rectangle. If you hold down the button for the tool in the toolbar more shapes will become available.

Lasso Tool
Shortcut: L
The "Lasso Tool" is used to freely create a selection. Once you create a selection you can freely move it around without having to choose the "Move Tool". If you click and hold the "Lasso Tool" in the toolbar more options will become available. The "Polygonal Lasso Tool" and the "Magnetic Lasso Tool".

Polygonal Lasso Tool
Shortcut: L
The "Polygonal Lasso Tool" creates straight lines between two points that you click which then turns it into a selection

Magnetic Lasso Tool
Shortcut: L
The "Magnetic Lasso Tool" automatically detects the edges of the subject you're trying to cut out. You just need to hover over the edges which then gets turned into a selection

Quick Selection Tool
Shortcut: W
The "Quick Selection Tool" is used to create a selection. It is like the "Brush Tool" but it automatically tries to detect the edges of your subject. When holding down the "Alt" key this will remove the part you click from the selection. If you click and hold the "Quick Selection Tool" the "Magic Wand Tool" will also be available

Magic Wand Tool
Shortcut: W
The "Magic Wand Tool" is used to create a selection. Once you click on an area it will select the whole area until it meets an edge. This tool works better if the image has high contrast. You can also increase or decrease the tolerance to achieve different results

Crop Tool
Shortcut: C
The "Crop Tool" is used to remove edges of your photo that you do not need. To use it you drag the corners of your image or click and drag selecting the part of your image you want to keep

Eyedropper Tool
Shortcut: I
The "Eyedropper Tool" is used to select the exact color that is included in your composition. To use it you click on the color you want to select

Spot Healing Tool
Shortcut: J
The "Spot Healing Tool" is used to remove pimples and blackheads. This is a really easy tool to use all you do is paint with the tool on top of the pimple you want to remove and Photoshop will do the work for you. If you click and hold the "Spot Healing Tool" in the toolbar more options will become available, one of which is the "Healing Brush Tool". With this tool selected hold down "Alt" and click on your image to sample that part and then you can apply the sample at another position in the image. It will automatically blend it for you
